Overview
The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in the efficient operation of our warehouse facilities. This position involves various tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing merchandise and materials within the warehouse. No high school diploma is required for this position.
Skills
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical users clearly and effectively.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems, including Windows and macOS.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure, TCP/IP protocols, and basic network troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems and remote desktop support tools.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with computer systems, peripherals, and software applications, and implement appropriate solutions to resolve issues promptly.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as software updates, virus scans, and system backups, to ensure the security and reliability of IT systems.
- Collaborate with IT team members and external vendors to resolve complex technical issues and implement system upgrades or enhancements.
- Document technical procedures, troubleshooting steps, and system configurations, and provide training to end-users as needed.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, and make recommendations for IT improvements or upgrades based on best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of an associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a technical support role or help desk environment is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to providing high-quality support to end-users.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures as needed.
Work Environment: The IT Associate will primarily work in an office environment, providing support to staff members and clients both in person and remotely. Occasional travel to client sites may be required.
